REASONS

to hire Brandon

(I know, I know... it sounds like a BuzzFeed article, but bare with me and read on!)

I'm sure you're thinking, "Brandon, everyone loves Webflow!
Why is this a reason?"

What started as an innocent curiosity in web design has blossomed into a full fledged obsession. I don't just love the application, its ease of use, or incredibly intuitive user interface–I love the company.

I am passionate about Weblow's mission to empower designers and developers to achieve their goals. Webflow changed my life by providing a tool that enabled me to discover a fulfilling career path as a web designer. I want to be a part of the team that helped me accomplish so much and feel so empowered.

1.

I

I bring to the table...

2.

Experience

I am a Jack-of-all trades kinda guy.

3.

Versatile

Teamwork makes the dream work.

From brainstorming ideas in the office, to trust falls at a retreat center. I have done it all and whole heartedly dedicate myself to my team.

The Electronic Arts program I studied in college emphasized creative collaboration. I still believe collaboration is one of the most powerful means of production.

The Webflow team is expanding and it needs someone who is willing to make the team plays. Someone who will put aside his/her own desires for the greater good... Like Iron-man at the end of Avengers!

4.

Plays well with others

0 to 100 real quick.

I discovered Webflow 6 months ago and only knew the fundamentals of HTML/CSS.

Now I spend 30-40 hours a week designing and building websites for clients from all over the world. I am the web designer for a travel/food app start up and a member of a killer team of freelancers called One Kingdom Creative.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to learn new technologies, methods, and processes.

5.

Quick Learner

"With great power, comes great responsibility."

I think servant leadership is the most effective method of leading.

Humility, integrity and empathy along with the ability to encourage and spark passion in people makes for a great leader. I am no Tony Robbins, but I do have leadership experience:

6.

Leader

It's weird and ironic to brag about being humble...

I am human, and I make mistakes. A lot.

But I am quick to admit when I've made one.

My mistakes are my opportunities to learn and grow.

7.

Humility

I was raised with 3 sisters and no brothers... I learned to listen.

Empathy is not saying, "I'm sorry this happened."

Empathy is engaging with someone as a person, and seeing their circumstance from their perspective.

Years of training in Customer Service and my innate desire to help others has led to a passion for compassion and empathy. I genuinely love helping people and watching them grow in all facets of their life!

8.

Empathy

"Diversity and inclusion, which are the real grounds for creativity, must remain at the center of what we do."
~ Marco Bizzarri

My Dad was born and raised in a beautiful place called Sri Lanka. He moved to the US when he was 23 and took a job for less than minimum wage. Now, 40 years later with no college education, he works as a successful consultant and senior level employee for ConAgra Foods. He is the epitome of the American Dream and my greatest inspiration.

Because of my unique background, I understand from first-hand experiences the importance of diversity in all walks of life.

9.

Understands Diversity

Not X-ray vision or heat-ray vision... vision for the future!

I see Webflow growing and expanding and it gets me giddy to see what's next! Although I am new to the web design world, I already see a paradigm shift in the designer/developer roles. The line that separates them is getting more vague everyday.

Webflow is so much more than a site builder, and I have hopes and visions to see Webflow grow even more in the coming years! And I hope to be a part of the team when it does.
